Afren plc announces significant upgrade to Ebok volumetrics following full
analysis of the Ebok-5 appraisal well results offshore Nigeria

Afren plc ("Afren" or the "Company") announces that its entire ordinary share capital issued or to be issued has today been admitted to the Official List of the UK Listing Authority (the “Official List”) and to trading on the London Stock Exchange’s main market for listed securities (“Admission”).  Simultaneously, trading in the Company’s ordinary shares on AIM has ceased and dealings on the London Stock Exchange’s main market has commenced today at 8 a.m. (London time).

Further to its announcement on 4 November 2009 announcing the intended cancellation of trading of its ordinary shares on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange and admission to the Official List (the “Admission”), Afren plc announces that a prospectus relating to the Admission was approved by the UK Listing Authority (the "UKLA") earlier today.
