Hierarchy of Documentation
The EHSS Management System is documented in a series of manuals and procedures. The hierarchy of documentation is shown below:
Vision is the overall, concise message on what Afren stands for with regard to EHSS.
Policies state the commitments and maxims by which Afren, at all levels, carries out its business and weighs its judgments and decisions.
EHSS Management System Manual states Afren's EHSS expectations and provides guidance on what shall be done within the Company to meet these.
EHSS Control Procedures specify the mandatory processes and requirements and provide key guidance on how EHSS management requirements shall be met. These Procedures constitute an essential communication tool within the Company and enable consistent and effective EHSS implementation, assurance and governance.
Operational Implementation includes the actions necessary to apply EHSS Policies and Procedures in day-to-day operational activities, to ensure that these comply with the Company's EHSS policies and expectations. The monitoring of operations and feedback on the results helps to ensure that the Policies and Procedures are being implemented effectively, and assists in making any changes necessary to improve EHSS performance.
